Program Continuity

Medicine Wheel at RedCliff offers a consistent, unvarying expectation of each client with a uniform structure to facilitate their development. The program structure does not vary from guide to guide or from clinician to clinician. This provides a seamless transition from assessment to treatment as struggling young adults confront the challenges of the program.

A consistent behavioral standard provides a way to measure the client’s developmental progress. Although the structure does not change, therapy itself is individualized to meet each client’s needs. Interventions are custom designed to address a particular individual’s specific patterns of resistance.

Medicine Wheel wilderness therapy field guides, administrators and clinicians are unified by a common language. Because communication is consistent, program structure and expectations are the same from guide to guide and clinician to clinician. In other words, we run one therapeutic program with several groups, not many groups practicing many programs.
